MIP-1gamma (CCL9) Mouse Recombinant Protein

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS553241

Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-1 is a factor produced by macrophages that causes local inflammatory responses, and induces superoxide production by neutrophils. Two peptides are responsible for this activity. They have been termed MIP-1-alpha, and MIP-… More details

Host
E Coli (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders)
Form/Format
Recombinant CCL9 was lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered PBS solution.
Purity/Purification
>95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 degree C.
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Molecular Weight
13,871 Da
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for P51670
Domain
IL8
Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding mouse MIP-1 gamma chain was expressed in Escherichia Coli.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconstitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers
Molecular Weight Note
Native mouse MIP-1gamma (CCL9) is generated by the proteolytic removal of the signal peptide and propeptide. This molecule has a calculated molecular mass of approximately 12 kDa.

Recombinant CCL9 is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consisting of 102 amino acid residue subunits, and migrates as an approximately 12 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.

Other Notes

Small volumes of CCL9 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
