Il-17ra (CD217) Fc Tagged (IL17RA) Human Recombinant Protein

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS553248

IL-17 is a potent regulator of the neutrophil response. Both IL-17A and IL-17F are capable of signaling through IL-17RA to induce granulopoietic factors such as G-CSF and stem cell factor which leads to expansion of neutrophil progenitors in the bone marrow… More details

Other Notes

Small volumes of IL17RA recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for IL17RA

Interleukin 17A (IL17A) is a proinflammatory cytokine secreted by activated T-lymphocytes. It is a potent inducer of the maturation of CD34-positive hematopoietic precursors into neutrophils. The transmembrane protein encoded by this gene (interleukin 17A receptor; IL17RA) is a ubiquitous type I membrane glycoprotein that binds with low affinity to interleukin 17A. Interleukin 17A and its receptor play a pathogenic role in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Like other cytokine receptors, this receptor likely has a multimeric structure. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
