Procedure
Chickens were immunized with canine heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) antigen and egg yolks were collected. An IgY enriched fraction was prepared, the antibody was immunoaffinity purified off an antigen containing immunosorbent. Antibody concentration was determined using an absorbance at 280 nm: 1.32 equals 1.0 mg of IgY.

Application Notes for anti-anti-Canine Heartworm antibody
This antibody reacts with canine heartworm as determined by blotting and ELISA techniques. Some cross reactivity may be observed with feline heartworm. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-anti-Canine Heartworm antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
