Procedure
Goats were immunized with biotinylated protein carrier in Freunds adjuvant. Following multiple immunizations the immune serum was passed over a solid phase immunoabsorbant containing a biotinylated carrier (Lysine-Biotin) unrelated to the immunizing hapten-carrier and the anti biotin antibodies affinity isolated.
Application Notes for anti-anti-Biotin antibody
The affinity purified anti-biotin reacts with several biotin-protein conjugates and does not react with the proteins (carriers) used in the immunization or for the affinity column. The affinity purified antibody is suitable for ELISA and precipitation techniques.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-anti-Biotin antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
