Procedure
This mouse IgG1 kappa is purified using salt fractionation procedures and Protein Achromatography. It is produced from tissue culture media obtained at a quality controlled laboratory. Antibody concentration was determined using an absorbance at 280 nm: 1.4 equals 1.0 mg of IgG.
Application Notes for anti-STX2 antibody
This antibody reacts with recombinant E. coli Shigatoxin2 (Stx2) as determined by ELISA and blotting techniques. In a sandwich ELISA, the antibody is suitable for use as a capture antibody when paired with MBS560969, and as a detection antibody when paired with either of MBS560969 or MBS560972 .
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-STX2 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for STX2

The product of this gene belongs to the syntaxin/epimorphin family of proteins. The syntaxins are a large protein family implicated in the targeting and fusion of intracellular transport vesicles. The product of this gene regulates epithelial-mesenchymal interactions and epithelial cell morphogenesis and activation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
