Bioactivity
PF-429242 is a competitive inhibitor of sterol regulatory element-binding protein (SREBP) site 1 protease (IC50 = 0.175 muM). It is selective for site 1 protease against a panel of serine proteases. PF-429242 inhibits rate of cholesterol synthesis in CHO cells (IC50 = 0.53 muM).
Solubility Note
For obtaining a higher solubility, please warm the tube at 37 degree C and shake it in the ultrasonic bath for a while. Stock solution can be stored below -20 degree C for several month.
