8-Deoxygartanin is a butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) selective inhibitor, it exhibits significant inhibition of self-induced alpha²-amyloid (Aalpha²) aggregation, it has multifunctional activities against Alzheimer's disease (AD) and could be promising compounds for the therapy of AD.
