Recognizes human Met5- and Leu5- Enkephalin. Displays a 40% crossreactivity with C-terminal-extended Met-enkephalin hexapeptides and 7% crossreactivity with the extended heptapeptide.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Leu-enkephalin conjugated to BSA.

Secreted by a hybridoma formed by the fusion of a NSO/1 murine myeloma cell with a spleen cell from a BALB/c mouse immunized against Leu-enkephalin conjugated to bovine serum albumin.

Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 1:200-1:500; Recognizes all well-recognized enkephalin immunoreactive sites but does not bind to areas known to contain beta-endorphin or dynorphin.

If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap.
