Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-Nfic antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for Nfic

NFI-C: Recognizes and binds the palindromic sequence 5'- TTGGCNNNNNGCCAA-3' present in viral and cellular promoters and in the origin of replication of adenovirus type 2. These proteins are individually capable of activating transcription and replication. Belongs to the CTF/NF-I family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: DNA-binding

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleolus; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; DNA binding; double-stranded DNA binding; transcription factor activity

Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; sensory perception of smell; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; DNA replication; odontogenesis of dentine-containing teeth
