Cytomegalovirus, Pp65 Tegument Protein Antibody – Mouse Monoclonal

Anti-pp65 monoclonal antibodies (mAb) were developed against human cytomegalovirus tegument protein pp65 (pp65).

pp65’s alternative names in NCBI and UniProt data bases are 65 kDa phosphoprotein, 65 kDa matrix phosphoprotein, phosphoprotein UL83, tegument protein UL83.

pp65 is one of main human cytomegalovirus (CMV) tegument phosphoproteins that are critical to CMV replication cycle; pp65 inhibits host immune system signaling and promotes virus’ immune evasion by impeding normal functions of human interferon regulatory factor (IRF3).

Anti-pp65 antibodies are mouse monoclonal IgG produced from clone 8.F.75 against pp65 immunogen.

Anti-pp65 mAb are purified by affinity chromatography on immobilized protein A and supplied in liquid form in PBS at pH 7.4, without preservatives.

Tested applications of anti-pp65 mAb include immunofluorescence (IF) and western blot (WB).

Antibodies may be stored at temperature of 4°C for short-term, and must be aliquoted and frozen at -20°C for long-term storage; repetitive freeze-thaw cycles must be avoided.

Small volumes of anti-Cytomegalovirus, Pp65 Tegument Protein antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
