Human
Form/Format
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, 5% trehalose. Reconstitution: Reconstitute with sterile PBS. If 0.2ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 500ug/ml.
Purity/Purification
Affinity Purified
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human Ficolin-2. Does not crossreact with rhFicolin-3.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
NS0-derived rhFicolin-2
Hybridoma
Produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human Ficolin-2 (rhFicolin-2).

Product Categories/Family for anti-Ficolin 2 antibody

Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-Ficolin 2 antibody
ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-Ficolin 2 antibody
Western Blot, Direct ELISA
Dilution: Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human Ficolin-2. Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit for rhFicolin-2 is approximately 25 ng/lane under non-reducing conditions. Use of this antibody under reducing conditions is not recommended. Chemiluminescent detection with Chemiluminescent Detection Substrate will increase sensitivity by 5 to 50 fold.
Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human Ficolin-2. The detection limit for rhFicolin-2 is approximately 1 ng/well.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-Ficolin 2 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
