Product Categories/Family for anti-Cdon antibody

Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-Cdon antibody
ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-Cdon antibody
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mouse CDO. Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit for rmCDO is approximately 5 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Chemiluminescent detection will increase sensitivity by 5 to 50 fold.
ELISA (direct): 0.5-1.0ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect mCDO. The detection limit for rmCDO is approximately 1ng/well.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-Cdon antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for Cdon

CDON: Component of a cell-surface receptor complex that mediates cell-cell interactions between muscle precursor cells. Promotes differentiation of myogenic cells. Defects in CDON are the cause of holoprosencephaly type 11 (HPE11). HPE11 is a structural anomaly of the brain, in which the developing forebrain fails to correctly separate into right and left hemispheres. Holoprosencephaly is genetically heterogeneous and associated with several distinct facies and phenotypic variability. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
