Parvalbumin (PVALB) Antibody – Mouse Monoclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS603239

Parvalbumin is a calcium binding albumin protein. It has three EF hand motifs and is structurally related to calmodulin and troponin C. Parvalbumin is localised in fast-contracting muscles, where its levels are highest, and in the brain and some endocrine… More details

Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-PVALB antibody
Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
Application Notes for anti-PVALB antibody
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 using 10ug of mouse brain lysate.
Immunohistochemistry: 1:1000-1:2000 (Indirect Immunoperoxidase). Works on formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissue sections of rat cerebellum. Fixation does not appear to affect ability to detect parvalbumin.
Immunocytochemistry: Cultured neurons
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.

Testing Data of anti-PVALB antibody

Mouse Brain lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with MBS603239 (1:1000 dilution). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary IgG (HRP) and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates protein Parvalbumin (~12kD).

Testing Data of anti-PVALB antibody

Mouse Brain (Lane 1), Rat Brain (Lane 2), Human Brain (Lane 3) and Mouse|Brain Membrane (Lane 4) were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with MBS603239 (1:1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody (HRP) and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates protein Parvalbumin (~12kD).

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-PVALB antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
