Western Blot (WB), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
Application Notes for anti-MPS1 antibody
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry.
Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml of this lot detected Mps1 in HeLa total cell extract. HeLa cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF and probed with M4685-80 (2ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody (HRP) and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Immunoprecipitation: Reported by an independent laboratory to immunoprecipitate Mps1 from HeLa total cell extract.
Immunocytochemistry: Reported by an independent laboratory to show positive immunostaining for Mps1 in U2OS or HeLa cells permeabilized with 0.5% Triton-X-100 and fixed with methanol or paraformaldehyde.

Testing Data of anti-MPS1 antibody

HeLa total cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF and probed with MBS603259 (2ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody (HRP) and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates Mps1 (~97kD).

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-MPS1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for MPS1

Function: Involved in the regulation of the onset of mitosis. Involved in a pathway that coordinates cell proliferation and differentiation. Implicated in spindle pole body (SPD) duplication. Dual specificity kinase that can phosphorylate serine, threonine and tyrosine residues. Phosphorylates the SPC29 and SPC110 spindle pole body components. Ref.6 Ref.7

Catalytic activity: ATP + a protein = ADP + a phosphoprotein.

Post-translational modification: Autophosphorylated.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Ser/Thr protein kinase family.Contains 1 protein kinase domain.
