Specificity
Recognizes rabbit RLA-DR chain (Mr ~35kD). Reacts with RLA-DR-transfected cells, but not with RLA-DQ-transfected cells and, in normal adult rabbits, 50-60% of peripheral blood leukocytes and splenocytes. It has been reported that the antibody stains: lymphocytes in the thymic medulla and some cells in the cortex; periportal cells in the liver; and synovial lining cell (i.e., infiltrating macrophages) in inflamed synovium.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20 degree C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
