Bovine, Canine, Human
Form/Format
Affinity Purified
Supplied as a liquid in TBS, pH 7.5 and 0.2% BSA, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Purity/Purification
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Concentration
~1mg/ml (lot specific)
Specificity
Recognizes human D2R. No significant sequence homology is seen with other dopamine receptors (D1 and D3-D5).Species sequence homology
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
A 28 AA synthetic peptide sequence from the human D2 R, within the cytoplasmic loop # 3, coupled to KLH (2). The 28 AA sequence is shared by both the long and short form.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-Dopamine Receptor, D2S, L antibody
ELISA, Western Blot
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml (ECL) The predicted size of D2 form is approx. 50kD. However, additional bands at approx. 100kD, 68kD, and 50kD, and others are typically seen in various tissues (2-3). Approx. 100-400ug membrane protein/lane should be loaded to visualize various bands.
ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
