RAMP3 Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS612994

The calcitonin family peptides probably act through G-protein coupled membrane receptors. The gene for calcitonin receptors has been cloned. It is homologous to GPCRs in family "B" which typically recognizes regulatory peptides (secretin, glucagons, VIP).… More details

Specificity
The and peptides are 84% and 78% conserved in mouse and rat RAMP3, respectively. However, no significant sequence homology is detected with other RAMPs. The control peptide, because of its small size (~2kD), is not suitable for Western. It should be used in ELISA, Dot Blot or to neutralize antibody and confirm specificity of antibody
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-RAMP3 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
