Recognizes human hair keratin (hHb6) expressed starting from the middle hair cortex. It can be defect in monilethrix. Species Crossreactivity: mouse.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Application Notes for anti-Basic Hair Keratin, K86 antibody
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot.
Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:200. Preincubate fixed sections with 0.1 Triton X-10 (in PBS) for 1-5 min prior to 1 hour incubation.
Western Blot: 1:2000. Incubate for 1 hour at RT.

If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap.
