Specificity
Reacts with residues 155-169 [KGEQGDQGPRMVFPK] of the NC2-2 region of human and mouse CLAC-P. Detects bands of 50, 70 and 100kD in SPs of AD brain, but not in diffuse plaques of non-demented aged individuals, diffuse deposits in sub-cortical structures and cerebellum in AD nor in cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Species Crossreactivity: Human and mouse. Other species have not been tested.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
