Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot., Western blot: Approx 45-50kD band seen in MOLT-4 lysate. Recommended for use at 2-4ug/ml., Staining (3ug/ml) of MOLT-4 lysate (RIPA buffer, 35ug total protein per lane). Primary incubated for 12 hour. Detected by western blot using chemiluminescence.
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Tonsil, stains nuclei of some cells in the interfollicular area and in germinal centres. Recommended concentration, 0.1-0.3µg/ml.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-GATA3 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for GATA3

This gene encodes a protein which belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. The protein contains two GATA-type zinc fingers and is an important regulator of T-cell development and plays an important role in endothelial cell biology. Defects in this gene are the cause of hypoparathyroidism with sensorineural deafness and renal dysplasia. [provided by RefSeq]

UniProt Comments for GATA3

GATA3: a transcriptional regulator central in Th2 cell differentiation. Inhibits breast cancer growth and pulmonary breast cancer metastasis. Represses INK4C transcription, constrains luminal progenitor cell expansion, and suppresses luminal tumorigenesis in the mammary gland. High GATA3 and low INK4C expression predicts a favorable patient outcome in luminal A type breast tumors. IFN-lambda1 (IL-29) inhibits GATA3 expression and suppresses Th2 responses in human T cells. GATA3 haploinsufficiency leads to HDR (hypoparathyroidism, deafness, and renal dysplasia) syndrome. Two alternatively spliced human isoforms have been described.
