RAD9 Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS616243

Rad9 is required for the MEC1/TEL1-dependent activation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae DNA damage checkpoint pathways mediated by Rad53 and Chk1. DNA damage induces Rad9 phosphorylation, and Rad53 specifically associates with phosphorylated Rad9. Cells have… More details

Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
RAD9, Polyclonal Antibody
Full Product Name
RAD9, phosphorylated (Ser1129)
Product Gene Name
Product Synonym Names
Anti -RAD9, phosphorylated (Ser1129)
Clonality
Polyclonal
Host
Rabbit
Species Reactivity
Yeast
Form/Format
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide. No stabilizing proteins added.
Purity/Purification
Affinity Purified
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Phospho-specific polyclonal antibody reacts with phosphorylated pS1260 of yeast Rad9. Reactivity with non-phosphorylated yeast Rad9 is minimal by ELISA and immunoblotting. No reactivity is expected against the human or mouse analogs of RAD9. Reactivity against RAD9 from other sources is unknown. Crossreactivity may occur with auto-phosphorylated Rad53 kinase.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Molecular Weight
46,013 Da
Chromosome Location
Chromosome: 3; NC_003074.8 (1585302..1588722)
3D Structure
ModBase 3D Structure for Q9MA61
Immunogen
Whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to phosphorylated form of aa1125-1139 of 1309 of yeast Rad9 protein (KLH coupled).
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-RAD9 antibody
ELISA (EL/EIA)
Application Notes for anti-RAD9 antibody
Suitable for use in ELISA.
Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000. 0.1ug of phosphorylated peptide (pS1129) was used in a standard capture ELISA using TMB (3,3',5,5'-Tetramethylbenizidine) as a substrate for 30 minutes at RT.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-RAD9 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
