Application Notes for anti-RARRES1 antibody
Suitable for use in Direct ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml; Detection limit is ~0.3ng/well.
Western Blot: 1ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Fluorescence): 10ug/ml; Detects RARRES1 in cryosections of mouse liver. Tissue was fixed overnight in 4% PFA + 14% picric acid in PBS at 4 degree C. Sections were blocked with 10% donkey serum and 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS, 1% BSA for 45 minutes at RT. After blocking, sections were incubated with R1691-97 for 3 hours at RT, followed by donkey anti-goat IgG (NL557) for 1 hour at RT. Between each step, cells were washed with PBS, 0.1% BSA.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-RARRES1 antibody

Western Blot of mouse spleen tissue lysates using MBS618172 (1ug/ml) followed by IgG (HRP) Anti-Goat. A specific band was detected for RARRES1 at approximately 33kD (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-RARRES1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for RARRES1

This gene was identified as a retinoid acid (RA) receptor-responsive gene. It encodes a type 1 membrane protein. The expression of this gene is upregulated by tazarotene as well as by retinoic acid receptors. The expression of this gene is found to be downregulated in prostate cancer, which is caused by the methylation of its promoter and CpG island. Alternatively spliced transcript variant encoding distinct isoforms have been observed. [provided by RefSeq]
