Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-Nna1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for Nna1

Nna1: Metallocarboxypeptidase that mediates deglutamylation of target proteins. Catalyzes the deglutamylation of polyglutamate side chains generated by post-translational polyglutamylation in proteins such as tubulins. Also removes gene-encoded polyglutamates from the carboxy-terminus of target proteins such as MYLK. Acts as a long-chain deglutamylase and specifically shortens long polyglutamate chains, while it is not able to remove the branching point glutamate, a process catalyzed by AGBL5/CCP5. Interacts with MYLK. Belongs to the peptidase M14 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Protease; EC 3.4.17.-

Cellular Component: mitochondrion; cytoplasm; nucleus; cytosol

Molecular Function: peptidase activity; tubulin binding; protein binding; zinc ion binding; metallopeptidase activity; hydrolase activity; carboxypeptidase activity; metal ion binding; metallocarboxypeptidase activity
