Application Notes for anti-FGF7 antibody
Suitable for use in ELISA, Neutralization, and Western Blot.
Dilution: ELISA (Indirect): 0.5-2ug/ml. Using 100ul/well antibody solution. When used in conjunction with the compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit is of 0.2-0.4ng/well.
ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml. Using 100ul/well antibody solution. When used in conjunction with K1000A, as a detection antibody, the detection limit is of 0.2-0.4ng/well.
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Immunohistochemistry: 0.5ug/ml, overnight at 4 degree C. This antibody stained formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections of normal human skin. An HRP-labeled polymerdetection system was used with a non-alcohol soluble AEC chromogen and a proteinase K antigen retrieval.
Neutralization: 0.56-0.85ug/ml, to yeild one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hKGF (25ng/ml).
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-FGF7 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for FGF7

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This protein is a potent epithelial cell-specific growth factor, whose mitogenic activity is predominantly exhibited in keratinocytes but not in fibroblasts and endothelial cells. Studies of mouse and rat homologs of this gene implicated roles in morphogenesis of epithelium, reepithelialization of wounds, hair development and early lung organogenesis. [provided by RefSeq]
