Rat
Form/Format
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitution with 5.0 ml of TBS/Tween 20.
Purity/Purification
Highly Purified
Purified by precipitation, dialysis and chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes Kappa Opioid Receptor (346-380). Reactivity of the Kappa Opioid Receptor is ~90%. Does not react to Delta Opioid Receptor and Mu Opioid Receptor. Has been found to stain specifically the kappa opioid receptor in Western blots of whole rat brain homogenates.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding TBS/Tween 20, 2% normal goat serum, 40-50% glycerol. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Molecular Weight
42,645 Da

ModBase 3D Structure for P41145
Immunogen
Peptide analog of the carboxyl terminal of the kappa opioid receptor covalently attached onto a carrier protein.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-OPRK1 antibody
ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes for anti-OPRK1 antibody
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: The stock solution should be further diluted 1:8 with (Note: higher dilutions may be needed) 2% normal goat serum in TBS/Tween-20 as buffer for the primary antibody.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-OPRK1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
