Application Notes for FGF16 recombinant protein
Suitable for use in ELISA.
Dilution: ELISA: > 0.5ug/ml using 100ul/well detects of 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant hFGF-16.
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml detects hFGF-16 in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents. The detection limit for recombinant hFGF-16 is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of FGF16 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for FGF16

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. The rat homolog is predominantly expressed in embryonic brown adipose tissue and has significant mitogenic activity, which suggests a role in proliferation of embryonic brown adipose tissue.
