ENOA (eno) Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS627408

ENO1 is one of three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals; the protein alpha-enolase, a homodimeric soluble enzyme, and is also a shorter monomeric structural lens protein, tau-crystallin. The two proteins are made from the same message. The full length… More details

Western Blot (WB) of anti-eno antibody

ENOA Antibody (N-term) western blot analysis in U251,mouse C2C12,mouse NIH/3T3 cell line and mouse brain tissue lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the ENOA antibody detected the ENOA protein (arrow).
Rabbit Anti-eno Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS627408

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-eno antibody

ENOA Antibody (N-term) flow cytometric analysis of Hela cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
Rabbit Anti-eno Polyclonal Antibody, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) – Cat# MBS627408

Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-eno antibody

Fluorescent confocal image of Hela cell stained with ENOA Antibody (N-term).Hela cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with ENOA primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37℃). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor® 488 conjugated donkey anti-rabbit antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37℃).Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor® 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37℃). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue) (10 µg/ml, 10 min). ENOA immunoreactivity is localized to Cytoplasm and Nucleus significantly.

UniProt Comments for eno

Function: Catalyzes the reversible conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate into phosphoenolpyruvate. It is essential for the degradation of carbohydrates via glycolysis

By similarity. HAMAP MF_00318

Catalytic activity: 2-phospho-D-glycerate = phosphoenolpyruvate + H2O. HAMAP MF_00318

Cofactor: Magnesium. Required for catalysis and for stabilizing the dimer

Enzyme regulation: The covalent binding to the substrate causes inactivation of the enzyme, and possibly serves as a signal for the export of the protein

By similarity. HAMAP MF_00318

Pathway: Carbohydrate degradation; glycolysis; pyruvate from D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate: step 4/5. HAMAP MF_00318

Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Secreted. Cell surface. Note: Fractions of enolase are present in both the cytoplasm and on the cell surface. The export of enolase possibly depends on the covalent binding to the substrate; once secreted, it remains attached to the bacterial cell surface

By similarity. HAMAP MF_00318

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the enolase family.
