Western Blot (WB) of anti-TLK1 antibody

Western blot analysis of hTLK1-L687 in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). TLK1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.
Rabbit Anti-TLK1 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS628091

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-TLK1 antibody

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-TLK1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for TLK1

The Tousled-like kinases, first described in Arabidopsis, are nuclear serine/threonine kinases that are potentially involved in the regulation of chromatin assembly.[supplied by OMIM]

UniProt Comments for TLK1

TLK1: a protein kinase of the TLK family. Rapidly and transiently inhibited by phosphorylation following the generation of DNA double-stranded breaks during S-phase. This is cell cycle checkpoint and ATM-pathway dependent and appears to regulate processes involved in chromatin assembly. Isoform 3 phosphorylates and enhances the stability of the t-SNARE SNAP23, augmenting its assembly with syntaxin. Cell-cycle regulated, maximal activity in S-phase. Inactivated by phosphorylation, possibly by CHK1. Three splice variant isoforms have been described.

Protein type: Kinase, protein; EC 2.7.11.1; Protein kinase, Other; Protein kinase, Ser/Thr (non-receptor); Other group; TLK family

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q31.1

Cellular Component: nucleus

Molecular Function: protein serine/threonine kinase activity; ATP binding

Biological Process: intracellular protein transport; regulation of chromatin assembly or disassembly; chromatin modification; cell cycle; protein amino acid phosphorylation; response to DNA damage stimulus
