Specificity
Recognizes LPS epitopes of Vibrio cholerae antigens present in the bacterial cell wall.
Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Vibrio cholerae 01, serotype Ogawa, biotype ELT inactivated at 56 degree C for 30 minutes.
Biological Activity
Evaluated with two panels of microorganisms normally present in stool samples. One panel include 72 potential antigenically related bacterial strains, the second panel included pathogenic bacterial strains involved in diarrhea cases. Reacts with cholera antigens in Western Blot.
