Application Notes for anti-GSK3B antibody
Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA.
Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects phosphorylated GSK3b (pSer9) in RIPA lysates from Hep G2 cells stimulated with 100uM pervandate and also from rat L6 cells stimulated with 15nM IGF-1.Non-stimulated HUVAC cell lysate and pervanadate-stimulated HUVAC cell lysates were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with G8170-43 (2ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.

Western Blot (WB) of anti-GSK3B antibody

WB: Non-stimulated L6 cell lysate (lane 1) and IGF-stimulated L6 cell lysate (lane 2) was probed with MBS632817 (2ug/ml).

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-GSK3B antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for GSK3B

The protein encoded by this gene is a serine-threonine kinase, belonging to the glycogen synthase kinase subfamily. It is involved in energy metabolism, neuronal cell development, and body pattern formation. Polymorphisms in this gene have been implicated in modifying risk of Parkinson disease, and studies in mice show that overexpression of this gene may be relevant to the pathogenesis of Alzheimer disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
