Preparation and Storage
Storage:
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Aliquots are stable 6 months after receipt.at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Application Notes for HIV-1 p66, Strain IIIB active protein
A dose dependent response assay should be performed to determine the optimal concentration for use in specific applications. ELISA and Western ELISA require 1-10ng protein depending on the nature and affinity of the test antibody. Solid phase antigen in 50-100ng amounts shows reactivity with human serum antibodies in Dot Blot assays. Optiaml dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Small volumes of HIV-1 p66, Strain IIIB active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap.
