Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-TAFA2 antibody

TAFA2/FAM19A2 in Human Brain. TAFA2/FAM19A2 was detected in immersion fixed paraffinembedded sections of human brain (cortex) using Human TAFA2/FAM19A2 Antigen Affinitypurified Polyclonal Antibody at 10ug/ml overnight at 4 °C. Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heatinduced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval ReagentBasic. Tissue was stained using the Sheep HRPDAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to neuronal processes. Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-TAFA2 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for TAFA2

FAM19A2: a member of the TAFA family which is composed of five highly homologous genes that encode small secreted proteins. These proteins contain conserved cysteine residues at fixed positions, and are distantly related to MIP-1alpha, a member of the CC-chemokine family. The TAFA proteins are predominantly expressed in specific regions of the brain, and are postulated to function as brain-specific chemokines or neurokines, that act as regulators of immune and nervous cells.
