Calmodulin-Dependent Protein Kinase II (CaMKII) Antibody – Rabbit Polyclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS648884

CaMKII is an important member of calcium/calmodulin-activated protein kinase family, functioning in neural synaptic stimulation and T-cell receptor signaling. CaMKII has catalytic and regulatory domains. The binding of Ca++/calmodulin to its regulatory domain… More details

Product Categories/Family for anti-CaMKII antibody

Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-CaMKII antibody
Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Application Notes for anti-CaMKII antibody
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded): 1:200

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-CaMKII antibody

Human Spleen (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded) stained with CAMK2 antibody at 1:200 followed by biotinylated goat rabbit IgG secondary antibody alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Rabbit Anti-CaMKII Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS648884

Western Blot (WB) of anti-CaMKII antibody

Western blot of rat brain lysate showing specific immunolabeling of the ~50k a- and the ~60k b-CaM Kinase II phosphorylated at Thr286 (Control). The phosphospecificity of this labeling is shown in the second lane (lambda-phosphatase: l-Ptase). The blot is identical to the control except that it was incubated in l-Ptase (1200 units for 30 min) before being exposed to the Thr286 CaM Kinase II. The immunolabeling is completely eliminated by treatment with l-Ptase.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-CaMKII antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
