Hepatocellular Carcinoma Active Protein

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS650134

Human Hemofiltrate CC chemokine-1 (HCC-1) was first isolated from the hemofiltrate of patients with chronic renal failure. HCC-1 has a 46% amino acid sequence identity with MIP-1a/MIP-1b and 29-37% homology with other CC chemokines. Recombinant Human HCC-1 is… More details

Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Active Protein
Full Product Name
Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Recombinant, Human (Hemofiltrate Carcinoma Chemokine, HCC-1)
Sequence
The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Thr-Glu-Se r-Ser-Ser.
Host
E Coli
Form/Format
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. No additives.
Purity/Purification
Highly Purified
98% by RP-HPLC, FPLC, or reducing/non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stain. Chromatographically purified.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile dH2O and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Active Protein Note
Protein activity can be an ambiguous term. Please refer to the data sheet or inquire with Technical Support to determine the definition of activity for this product.
Biological Activity
HCC-1 is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The Biological activity is calculated by its ability to chemoattract Human monocytes at 5.0-20.0ng/ml.
Dimers and Aggregates
1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.
Endotoxin Level
0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Human HCC-1.
Protein Content
Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:
1. UV spectroscopy at 280nm.
2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a calibrated solution of HCC-1 as a Reference Standard.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute the lyophilized Human HCC-1 in sterile 18MO-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of Hepatocellular Carcinoma active protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.
