Application Notes for S-100 betabeta homodimer protein
S-100 - beta homodimer (S100b) is suitable for use as a standard in immunoassay, as an immunogen for antiserum production and tracer for iodination. Measurements of S-100 protein in serum samples of patients are useful in monitoring of traumatic brain injury, ischemic brain damage after circulatory arrests, prognosis of clinical outcome in acute stroke.

Small volumes of S-100 betabeta homodimer protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap.
