CD28 Antibody – Mouse Monoclonal

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Catalog #: MBS668294

CD28 is a type I transmembrane protein that binds through its extracellular region to B7 proteins (CD80 and CD86), which are transmembrane proteins expressed on the surface of APCs (Antigen-Presenting Cells) and are up-regulated by inflammatory signals. CD28… More details

Flow Cytometry: 2-4 ug/10^6 cells

Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) of anti-CD28 antibody

Fig-1: Cell surface Flow analysis of hCD2 in Jurkat cells using 2 ug/ 10^6 cells. Green represents isotype control ;red represents anti-hCD28 antibody !0-4137). Goat anti-mouse PE conjugated secondary antibody was used. (Cells were incubated with primary antibody for 30 min. then washed twice with FLOW Staining buffer by centrifuging at 1100 rpm for 5 min, followed by 30 min incubation with conjugated secondary antibody. Data acquisition was done after washing twice with Staining buffer).

NCBI Summary for CD28

The protein encoded by this gene is essential for T-cell proliferation and survival, cytokine production, and T-helper type-2 development. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]

UniProt Comments for CD28

CD28: a type I plasma membrane protein Involved in T-cell activation, the induction of cell proliferation and cytokine production and promotion of T-cell survival. Binds to B7-1 and -2. Expressed in T cells and plasma cells, but not in less mature B cells. Six splice-variant isoforms have been described.
