Other Notes

Small volumes of MYH10 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS066875 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Myosin Heavy Chain 10, Non Muscle (MYH10) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing MYH10. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS066875 kit is based on MYH10 antibody-MYH10 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MYH10 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MYH10. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for MYH10

This gene encodes a member of the myosin superfamily. The protein represents a conventional non-muscle myosin; it should not be confused with the unconventional myosin-14 (MYO14). Myosins are actin-dependent motor proteins with diverse functions including regulation of cytokinesis, cell motility, and cell polarity. Mutations in this gene result in one form of autosomal dominant hearing impairment. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. UniProt Comments for MYH10

MYH14: Cellular myosin that appears to play a role in cytokinesis, cell shape, and specialized functions such as secretion and capping. Myosin is a hexameric protein that consists of 2 heavy chain subunits (MHC), 2 alkali light chain subunits (MLC) and 2 regulatory light chain subunits (MLC-2). High levels of expression are found in small intestine, colon and skeletal muscle. Expression is low in organs composed mainly of smooth muscle, such as aorta, uterus and urinary bladder. No detectable expression is found in thymus, spleen, placenta and lymphocytes. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
