Human CD62E/E-selectin
CD62E represents the 100-110 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein E-selectin, also known as endothelial-leukocyte adhesion molecule-1 (ELAM-1). It is expressed on cytokine-stimulated endothelium, weakly on unactivated endothelium, and is absent on leukocytes. Like other selectins, CD62E is an adhesion molecule that contributes to the initial attachment and rolling of leukocytes on endothelial surfaces, a prerequisite for leukocyte extravasation into tissues.1-4
Preparation and Storage
The purified (UNLB) antibody is supplied as 0.1 mg of purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.0. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2- 8 degree C.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of phosphate buffered saline containing 0.1% PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE), allophycocyanin (APC), are supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
The Spectral Red (SPRD) conjugate is supplied 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!
Protect conjugated forms from light. Reagents are stable for the period shown on the label if stored as directed.
Characterization
To insure lot to lot consistency, each batch of product is tested by flow cytometry to conform with the characteristics of a standard reference reagent.
