Human CD79 beta /B29/Ig beta
CD79 is a 23/21 disulfide-linked heterodimer composed of an alpha chain (CD79a/mb-1) and a beta chain (CD79b/B29) that associates non-covalently with membrane immunoglobulin to form the B cell receptor (BCR) complex. Its expression is restricted to B lymphocytes, first appearing on the surface at the pro-B cell stage and remaining through all stages of B cell differentiation prior to plasma cells. Crosslinking of the BCR leads to B cell activation. The monoclonal antibody CB3-1 reacts with the beta chain of CD79.1-4

The purified (UNLB) antibody is supplied as 0.1 mg of purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.0. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2- 8 degree C.
The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The biotin (BIOT) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8 degree C.
The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) and allophycocyanin (APC) conjugates are supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze!

To ensure lot-to-lot consistency, each batch of monoclonal antibody is tested to conform to characteristics of a standard reference reagent using immunofluorescence staining and analysis on a Becton Dickinson FACScanTM flow cytometer.
