Application Notes for anti-IL-20 antibody
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human IL-20 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 mul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 - 2.0 mug/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with Biotinylated Anti-Human IL-20 as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human IL-20.

Western Blot: To detect Human IL-20 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 mug/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Human IL-20 is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-IL-20 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for IL-20

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine structurally related to interleukin 10 (IL10). This cytokine has been shown to transduce its signal through signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) in keratinocytes. A specific receptor for this cytokine is found to be expressed in skin and upregulated dramatically in psoriatic skin, suggesting a role for this protein in epidermal function and psoriasis.
