Application Notes for anti-SERPINB5 antibody
Immunohistochemistery: This antibody stained formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human normal breast and human breast lobular carcinoma in situ. The recommended concentration is 7.8 ng/mL- 15.625 ng/mL with an overnight incubation at 4 degree C. An HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a DAB chromogen. Optimal results for these conditions were achieved without antigen retrieval.

Sandwich ELISA: To detect hMaspin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 mul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 - 2.0 mug/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with Biotinylated Anti-Human Maspin as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hMaspin.

Western Blot: To detect hMaspin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 mug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hMaspin is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

maspin: Tumor suppressor. It blocks the growth, invasion, and metastatic properties of mammary tumors. As it does not undergo the S (stressed) to R (relaxed) conformational transition characteristic of active serpins, it exhibits no serine protease inhibitory activity. Interacts with IRF6. Normal mammary epithelial cells. Belongs to the serpin family. Ov-serpin subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
