Application Notes for anti-GRO-beta/MIP-2 antibody
Direct Detection: To detect Rat GRO-beta/MIP-2 by direct ELISA (using 100 mul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 - 1.0 mug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat GRO-beta/MIP-2..

Sandwich ELISA: To detect Rat GRO-beta/MIP-2 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 mul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 - 1.0 mug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with Polyclonal Anti-Rat GRO-beta/MIP-2 as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Rat GRO-beta/MIP-2.

Western Blot: To detect Rat GRO-beta/MIP-2 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant Rat GRO-beta/MIP-2 is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-GRO-beta/MIP-2 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for GRO-beta/MIP-2

chemokine involved in the pulmonary inflammatory response [RGD, Feb 2006]

UniProt Comments for GRO-beta/MIP-2

CXCL3: Ligand for CXCR2. Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exert its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed form GRO-gamma(5-73) shows a fivefold higher chemotactic activity for neutrophilic granulocytes. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Secreted; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; CXCR chemokine receptor binding

Biological Process: neutrophil chemotaxis; wound healing; leukocyte chemotaxis; response to glucocorticoid stimulus; response to amphetamine; positive regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis; response to estradiol stimulus; regulation of cell proliferation; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; elevation of cytosolic calcium ion concentration; response to heat; response to molecule of bacterial origin; response to gamma radiation; immune response; inflammatory response
