Production Note
Special Offer: The E Coli, Yeast host-expressed protein is manufactured from a stock plasmid containing the protein gene. E Coli, Yeasthost-expressed protein is stocked in different unit sizes ranging from as small as 10 ug to as large as 1 mg. Bulk inventory is also available. The E Coli, Yeast host-expressed protein has been ordered over and over again by researchers and has stood the test of time as both a robust protein and important target for the research community. It is part of our new program to make our most popular protein targets and corresponding hosts available in expanded unit sizes and with a quick processing time. Select E Coli, Yeast host-expressed protein for the fastest delivery among all hosts. Please contact our technical support team or email to support@mybiosource.com for more details.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Laboratory.

Other Notes

Small volumes of Hspa5 recombinant protein vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for Hspa5

Endoplasmic reticulum chaperone that plays a key role in protein folding and quality control in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen (PubMed:12411443, PubMed:12475965). Involved in the correct folding of proteins and degradation of misfolded proteins via its interaction with DNAJC10/ERdj5, probably to facilitate the release of DNAJC10/ERdj5 from its substrate (PubMed:12411443). Acts as a key repressor of the ERN1/IRE1-mediated unfolded protein response (UPR) (). In the unstressed endoplasmic reticulum, recruited by DNAJB9/ERdj4 to the luminal region of ERN1/IRE1, leading to disrupt the dimerization of ERN1/IRE1, thereby inactivating ERN1/IRE1 (). Accumulation of misfolded protein in the endoplasmic reticulum causes release of HSPA5/BiP from ERN1/IRE1, allowing homodimerization and subsequent activation of ERN1/IRE1 ().
