Details This protein belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. It acts as a modulator that competes with protein kinase C for the second messenger diacylglycerol in intracellular signaling pathways. It also plays an important role in the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and phosphorylating diacylglycerol to phosphatidic acid. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and four transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Laboratory.
Applications Tested/Suitable for anti-DGKA antibody
ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-DGKA antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

UniProt Comments for DGKA

DGKA: Upon cell stimulation converts the second messenger diacylglycerol into phosphatidate, initiating the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and attenuating protein kinase C activity. Monomer. Lymphocytes and oligodendroglial cells. Stimulated by calcium and phosphatidylserine. Phosphorylated by protein kinase C. Belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
