Product Overview

Online Datasheet in PDF
Product Name
Mast Cell Chymase (MCC), ELISA Kit
Full Product Name
Rabbit Mast Cell Chymase ELISA Kit
Product Gene Name
Species Reactivity
Rabbit
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Sensitivity
1.0 pg/mL
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CMA. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CMA and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CMA and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
Molecular Weight
27,325 Da
OMIM
118938
Sample Preparation
We suggest pre-experimenting with neat (undiluted) samples, 1:2 or 1:4 dilutions. Please avoid diluting your samples more than 1:10 as it would exceed the dilution limit set for this kit. If the expected concentration of the target is beyond the detection range of the kit, please contact our technical support team
ISO Certification
Manufactured in an ISO 13485:2016 Certified Laboratory.

Rabbit MCC ELISA Kit – Cat# MBS746711

Other Notes

Small volumes of MCC elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS746711 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Mast Cell Chymase (MCC) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing MCC. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS746711 kit is based on MCC antibody-MCC antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect MCC antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, MCC. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for MCC

This gene product is a chymotryptic serine proteinase that belongs to the peptidase family S1. It is expressed in mast cells and thought to function in the degradation of the extracellular matrix, the regulation of submucosal gland secretion, and the generation of vasoactive peptides. In the heart and blood vessels, this protein, rather than angiotensin converting enzyme, is largely responsible for converting angiotensin I to the vasoactive peptide angiotensin II. Angiotensin II has been implicated in blood pressure control and in the pathogenesis of hypertension, cardiac hypertrophy, and heart failure. Thus, this gene product is a target for cardiovascular disease therapies. This gene maps to 14q11.2 in a cluster of genes encoding other proteases. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
