Other Notes

Small volumes of DUSP4 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

MBS765804 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the Dual specificity protein phosphatase 4 (DUSP4) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing DUSP4. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS765804 kit is based on DUSP4 antibody-DUSP4 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect DUSP4 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, DUSP4. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

NCBI Summary for DUSP4

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily. These phosphatases inactivate their target kinases by dephosphorylating both the phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues. They negatively regulate members of the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase superfamily (MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, p38), which are associated with cellular proliferation and differentiation. Different members of the family of dual specificity phosphatases show distinct substrate specificities for various MAP kinases, different tissue distribution and subcellular localization, and different modes of inducibility of their expression by extracellular stimuli. This gene product inactivates ERK1, ERK2 and JNK, is expressed in a variety of tissues, and is localized in the nucleus. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants, encoding distinct isoforms, have been observed for this gene. In addition, multiple polyadenylation sites have been reported. UniProt Comments for DUSP4

MKP-2: a non-receptor, dual-specificity phosphoprotein phosphatase (DUSP). Different members of the DUSP family show distinct substrate specificities for MAPKs, different tissue distribution and subcellular localization, and different modes of inducibility of their expression by extracellular stimuli. DUSP4 inactivates ERK1, ERK2 and JNK, is expressed in a variety of tissues, and is localized in the nucleus. Induced by hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF) in human endothelial cells. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. In addition, multiple polyadenylation sites have been reported. Contains 1 rhodanese domain.
