Western Blot (WB) of anti-IRS1 antibody

Western blot analysis of IRS1 expression in HeLa (A), HEK293 (B) whole cell lysates.
Rabbit Anti-IRS1 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS820213

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-IRS1 antibody

Immunohistochemical analysis of IRS1 staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
Rabbit Anti-IRS1 Polyclonal Antibody, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) – Cat# MBS820213

Immunofluorescence (IF) of anti-IRS1 antibody

Immunofluorescent analysis of IRS1 staining in HeLa cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight 594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-IRS1 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for IRS1

This gene encodes a protein which is phosphorylated by insulin receptor tyrosine kinase. Mutations in this gene are associated with type II diabetes and susceptibility to insulin resistance. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]

UniProt Comments for IRS1

IRS1: an adaptor protein that is one of the major substrates of the insulin receptor kinase. Contains multiple tyrosine phosphorylation motifs that serve as docking sites for SH2-domain-containing proteins including phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase p85 subunit and GRB-2. Phosphorylated on ser/thr residues by kinases including JNK and IKK.
