WB (1/500 - 1/1000), IH (1/100 - 1/200)

Western Blot (WB) of anti-MMP19 antibody

Western blot analysis of MMP19 expression in HepG2 (A) whole cell lysates.
Rabbit Anti-MMP19 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS820605

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-MMP19 antibody

Immunohistochemical analysis of MMP19 staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

Other Notes

Small volumes of anti-MMP19 antibody vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

NCBI Summary for MMP19

This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. The encoded protein is secreted as an inactive proprotein, which is activated upon cleavage by extracellular proteases. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants for this gene. UniProt Comments for MMP19

MMP19: Endopeptidase that degrades various components of the extracellular matrix, such as aggrecan and cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (comp), during development, haemostasis and pathological conditions (arthritic disease). May also play a role in neovascularization or angiogenesis. Hydrolyzes collagen type IV, laminin, nidogen, nascin-C isoform, fibronectin, and type I gelatin. May play a role in pathological processes participating in rheumatoid arthritis (RA)-associated joint tissue destruction. Autoantigen anti-MMP19 are frequent in RA patients. Belongs to the peptidase M10A family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: EC 3.4.24.-; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Protease

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q14
