WB (1/500 - 1/1000), IH (1/100 - 1/200)

Western Blot (WB) of anti-TXNRD2 antibody

Western blot analysis of TXNRD2 expression in PC12 (A), Jurkat (B) whole cell lysates.
Rabbit Anti-TXNRD2 Polyclonal Antibody – Cat# MBS822261

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti-TXNRD2 antibody

Immunohistochemical analysis of TXNRD2 staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

NCBI Summary for TXNRD2

This gene encodes a member of the class I pyridine nucleotide-disulfide oxidoreductase family. The encoded protein is a selenocysteine-containing flavoenzyme that maintains thioredoxins in a reduced state, thereby playing a key role in regulating the cellular redox environment. Mammals have three related thioredoxin reductases. This gene encodes a mitochondrial form important for scavenging of reactive oxygen species in mitochondria. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2013]
