Other Notes

Small volumes of PF4 elisa kit vial(s) may occasionally become entrapped in the seal of the product vial during shipment and storage. If necessary, briefly centrifuge the vial on a tabletop centrifuge to dislodge any liquid in the container`s cap. Certain products may require to ship with dry ice and additional dry ice fee may apply.

Searchable Terms for PF4 purchase

MBS824570 is a ready-to-use microwell, strip-or-full plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit for analyzing the presence of the CXCL4 (PF4) ELISA Kit target analytes in biological samples. The concentration gradients of the kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical kit detection range in biological research samples containing PF4. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the MBS824570 kit is based on PF4 antibody-PF4 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect PF4 antigen targets in samples. The ELISA Kit is designed to detect native, not recombinant, PF4. Appropriate sample types may include undiluted body fluids and/or tissue homogenates, secretions. Quality control assays assessing reproducibility identified the intra-assay CV (%) and inter-assay CV(%).

UniProt Comments for PF4

PF4: Released during platelet aggregation. Neutralizes the anticoagulant effect of heparin because it binds more strongly to heparin than to the chondroitin-4-sulfate chains of the carrier molecule. Chemotactic for neutrophils and monocytes. Inhibits endothelial cell proliferation, the short form is a more potent inhibitor than the longer form. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted; Chemokine; Apoptosis

Cellular Component: extracellular space; protein complex; extracellular region; vesicle

Molecular Function: heparin binding; CXCR3 chemokine receptor binding; chemokine activity; CXCR chemokine receptor binding; cytokine activity

Biological Process: negative regulation of cytolysis; platelet activation; cytokine and chemokine mediated signaling pathway; leukocyte chemotaxis; positive regulation of leukocyte chemotaxis; response to lipopolysaccharide; positive regulation of cAMP metabolic process; chemotaxis; positive regulation of tumor necrosis factor production; negative regulation of megakaryocyte differentiation; regulation of cell proliferation; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; negative regulation of angiogenesis; negative regulation of MHC class II biosynthetic process; protein complex assembly; immune response; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; positive regulation of macrophage differentiation; inflammatory response
